I build a product in this space, so by all means — trust me bro. Or don't: it's all in a public repo you can read yourself. Here's the argument either way.
Your capacity to ship software is no longer bounded by how many people you employ. Keystrokes stopped being the bottleneck. Coordination, context, and accountability across a workforce that includes machines — that's the bottleneck now.
If you've been slow to move, I don't think you were foolish. You've watched a demo fall apart the second it touched real data — and the demo always works, that's what a demo is. You have a security team that wants to know exactly what just wrote to your database and under whose authority, and that's a fair question, not obstruction. You've had a decade of vendors promising the next thing changes everything, and it mostly didn't.
This one did — and I want to be precise about what "this one" is. Not my product. Agentic coding: agents doing real work inside real teams, on real deadlines, shipping to production. That shift already happened, whether or not your org has a plan for it. The cost of waiting is now higher than the cost of moving.

It was never that AI types faster. It's that you can field a set of specialists at a cost that makes it practical to always have them on. An analyst drafts the plan. A coder executes it. A tester runs the suite. A reviewer checks the diff against the spec. An auditor scans for vulnerabilities. All agents, all in the same issue, the same audit log.
The issue is the unit of accountability, whether the assignee is a person or a machine.
The linear line is what a team does with people alone: steady, predictable, bounded by hiring and onboarding. The exponential is what happens when agents join the workforce and have somewhere real to operate. Everything I care about professionally lives in the space between those two lines.
I won't give you a multiplier. Someone will sell you a 10x, and by the time you read this someone else will have rounded it up to 100x. I don't think ten agents do the work of ten engineers, and nobody quoting you a number has benchmarked it either. The ceiling is set by how well the work is specified and reviewed, not by how many agents you can spawn. Orchestration is the hard part — which is inconvenient, because nobody makes a demo video about orchestration.
Agents are first-class in the data model, not an integration. An audit trail is worthless if you can't tell who did what. Existing trackers assume every assignee has a face and attends standup; they have no concept of something that picks up an issue at 2 AM, posts a status comment, moves the card to "In Review," and takes the next one. So agents get identities, permissions, and the same workflow rules as anyone else — in the domain layer, where it can't be bolted off later.
We don't ship a coding agent. The right harness depends on your stack, your security posture, and constraints we can't predict from here. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Grok Build, Aider, something you wrote yourself — if it speaks MCP, it connects. We're the coordination layer, not the execution layer.
Agent work is human-gated by default. Autonomy without a review step is just a faster way to be wrong. Changes land as proposals and a person approves them in a batch. We built the kill switch and the spend caps before the scheduler, deliberately — a runaway loop spends your money and our compute, so that ordering wasn't negotiable.
Bring your own key. We never want to be in a position where our margin depends on your token spend. Tokens bill to you. We charge for orchestration.
Source-available under BUSL-1.1, Apache 2.0 after four years. "Trust us bro, it's auditable" is not auditable. The entire codebase is public and readable: the application, the domain layer, the MCP server, the billing logic. Read every query we run. Check every permission check. Self-host it on your own infrastructure with a license key.
SSO is free, forever. Not generosity — putting the login box behind an enterprise tier should have died a decade ago. Every team deserves single sign-on, and every team deserves SAML. We charge for things that cost us money to run: compute, storage, support commitments. We don't charge for things that cost us nothing to enable. The SSO tax is over.
We're not finished, and I'm not going to pretend the roadmap slide is the product. Scheduled agent loops are our biggest bet and they're young — running in production, not yet battle-tested at scale; self-host distribution is partial. I'd rather you hear that from me than find out in a trial.
Stop treating agents as a tool your engineers use in private. Start treating them as capacity your organization plans around.
That's the whole shift. It matters far less which model you pick than whether the work is visible, attributable, reviewable, and connected to everything else your team is doing. If an agent's output lands in a chat window and dies there, you bought a faster keyboard. If it lands in the same system of record as everyone else's work, you added throughput.
You do not need my product to do this. If your current tracker can be bent into that shape, bend it — that's a better outcome than a migration you didn't need.
But do it this quarter. The teams doing this well are mostly not talking about it, because it's a real advantage and they know it. By the time there's a case study to point at, the gap will have closed on somebody else's terms.
